salaam people .. ive been using the net 4 around 4 yrs and i often hear the word " Brisbane " and automatically intrepret it as Brisbane ..

so my question is .. what does Brisbane stand for ?

Let me try and answer that.
To prevent confusion and facilitate ease of use, the International Association of Travel Agents (IATA) has given a three letter code to all airport cities of the world. So under that classificaton, London heathrow is LHR and Los Angeles is LAX and Brisbane is Brisbane.
