URGENT HELP NEEDED! PLEASE HELP!
#1
My sister is stuck in Brisbane, she has admitted to me that her boyfriend has been violent towards her, and when she told him she wanted to come home he attacked her even more viciously.
She moved to a hotel yesterday, hoping he would not find her there, but he has, and has threatened to do everything he can to stop her from leaving the country.
We have managed to book her a flight home to the UK for tomorrow, but are very concerned for her safety in the meantime.
If anyone at all, would be kind enough to escort her to the airport, to see that she gets on the plane safely, or if anyone can offer any other advice as to what help is available to her in Brisbane, I have already called the british embassy who said there is nothing they can do.

Hi
We have already contacted police, they havent really been of much help. She does not want to have him charged or arrested, she just needs somewhere safe to stay and an escort to the airport tomorrow to ensure she is able to get on the plane safely.
Thanks for your response though!

Somewhere safe to stay? Isn't she already in a hotel?

And...
What are the chances her boyfriend knows what hotel she is in, when she is leaving, and what time her flight is?

#5
He already knows which hotel she is in, and she has no money (neither do we) to move her to another. None of the staff in the hotel really speak english, so despite her telling them she does not want to receive guests, they have been letting this man come to her room, and he has attacked her there.

She is not safe, she is a young woman on her own in a foreign country, needless to say she is also extremely distraught and in pain as he has really hurt her wrist, she has no money to even get a taxi to hospital.

How on earth did he find what hotel she is in? Your sister must have told him. There are over 200 hotels in Brisbane. Also, what hotel is she in where there is no one that speaks English? Just move her to another room in the hotel. Shouldn't cost anything.

You're making a big issue out of something so simple. Phone the police: 'BLAH BLAH attacked BLAH BLAH'. I really doubt the police ignores assaults. F**k her if your sister doesn't want him arrested. As harsh as this may sound, she would deserve this for being such a retard if she doesn't report him.

You making some very rude and harsh assumptions.

First of all this man is quite powerfull, he knows alot of people in Brisbane, and she has no idea how he found her so quickly, but he did.

Second of all, she has contacted the police, and they werent really able to understand what she was saying.

We have had her move room, she has no money to change htoels again, she does not even have enough money for food or taxis, we are in the process of trying to wire her some, but she does not even know how to get (or where there is) a local western union, the hotel she is staying is practically a hostel, it was the only one she could afford.

I am here to kindly ask, that if there is a british person, willing to spare some of their time to drop her off at the airport and see's that she gets on the plane safely without being harrassed by this man.

If you cannot help, or have not got anything nice to say, please keep your opinions to yourself.

try if you might to muster a little compassion for a young girl, who has found herself being beaten up in a foreign country and left with no money or anyone to turn to!

I moved the funny part of this thread to Fight Club.
We don't allow naked photos in general chat forum cause we will get banned.

Now regarding the girl, lets try and be more compassionate.
I didn't hear the word husband here so that's plain and simple why the
British girl can't go to police. It's not allowed to live together in
Brisbane if you are not man and wife.
I know similar stories that happened to people I know so help
may be indeed needed.

But there is a possibility that the lady did something wrong(like
stealing something) and the helper could get in trouble, so be careful
if you want to help.

There are many ways she could have avoided that issue.
She could have just said that the guy who hit her used to be a friend.

i ponder...

why would a guest (non forum regular) find it be the best way to help this person by randomly finding this website (probably through google) and posting to complete strangers (half of which aren't even in brisbane) about a situation without giving any real facts or substantial information.

:?:

my two fils worth.

Cheers,

The lastest information is that they managed to get her out safely. She has flown out about a week back. The guy has been arrested and sentenced to 200 lashes.
The only way to get rid of temptation is to yeild to it....
