Birkenstocks are shoes for practical (unattractive and nerdy) people. I have seven pairs and wear them with my tights-it is a nice look! :wink:

Okay nerdy i'll give you but def. a sandal, not a shoe.

Choco-only a real girl knows to ask the important questions!! :lol: :lol: :lol: (I agree-the sock thing even with sandals is a big fashion faux pas!! BTW we call flip flops "thongs"- the looks I get here when I ask my kids if they have their thongs for swimming lessons is a riot!!)

So are you an Aussie RIEL? When I was in Australia the year before last, I cracked up when I walked into a bar and it said on the door 'No Thongs' I was like, what are they going to look to see what kinda knickers I have on - till someone corrected me - DOH!

Choco-that made me laugh-you must of thought they were going to do a knicker inspection!! :lol: Rubber thongs conjure up fantasies in other countries- but at home we just wear them on our feet! :lol:

You will never catch me wearing those.... EWWWW!!!!

But the bifocals, tights and birkenstocks, wooly skirt, shawl and fluffy hat make a fashion statement like no other. People always comment on my "hip" fashion sense.
