I just tried logging into my MSN Messenger and hotmail account and it seems someone hacked into it and changed my password. I have tried everything from resetting it to contacting MSN for help and have had no luck.
Now it is locked up because I tried so many times to log in and it wouldn't allow me to.
Can anyone help me or give me some advice as to how I can get my hotmail account back? I really don't want to lose all my contacts or emails.
Thanks so much,
Kelly

Thanks Brisbane,
The lock is off now but it still won't allow me to log in. Obviously someone changed my password and alternate email address.
I don't want to keep trying as it will lock me out again.
Any other suggestions?
How is Brisbane?

Hi Kelly,
What is the exact error message you get when you try to log in? Is the error message same when you try to access your mail account and messenger?
Does it happen all the time i mean from office? from home? or when you try to access it from a different computer? I mean ur sure your office does not have a firewall or a proxy setting.
THis information might be helpful, but if someone has changed the password then theres a problem.
Take care,
Jerry

Hi Jerry,
Thanks for your reply. I contacted hotmail directly and they reset my password.....seems someone hacked into my account and changed my password, secret question and alternate email address.....
I provided them with some personal information and they reset it for me thank god....
Thanks for offering to help though

Hey Sniper,
Thanks for the info.....I already have adaware installed as well. What is this extension you are talking about?
