I am an expatriate who was sold the Optima Fund by Lanson Financial Ltd (Lanson) in 1999.
Many expats bought the fund from Lanson who claimed to be in partnership with Royal & Sun Alliance (RSA) now Friends Provident International (FPI) in the Isle of Man, UK.
Lanson sold the Optima Fund on the basis it was 'stop loss guaranteed' and 'capital protected'. This turned out to be false, so several expats filed a complaint to the Isle of Man Ombudsman - we won! We got all of our investment back, pls interest.
Several of us were sold the fund by Mr Clive Ward who is now operating in Brisbane under Affinity Consulting Group.
We would like to help others who bought the Optima Fund to recover their losses. You can contact us at: OptimaExpat@groups.msn.com.
