VIOLENT GREEN
AETERNITAS
Date: Friday, December 12
Venue: ROSIES LIVE (MONSTROTHIC)
Address: 235 Edward St., Brisbane, QLD
Doors: 8pm
Entry: $15
After having released their debut EP Embodiment of Sin in late 2006; after spending a couple years firmly establishing their place within the Australian metal scene; after touring throughout Australia; and after sharing the stage with the likes of Dark Tranquillity (Swe), Vader (Pol), Insision (Swe), Clutch (USA), Iron Lung (USA), Psycroptic, The Amenta, Alarum, Alchemist and more; EMPYREAN are ready to unveil their full potential to the world, and it is called QUIETUS.
Having entered Studio Anders Debeerz with Adam Merker (Wish for Wings, Phalanx) earlier this year to record their debut full length album, it is now ready for unveiling. Mastered in Bialystok, Poland at Hertz Studios by Wojtek and Slawek Wieslawscy (Hate, Kronos, Vader), Empyrean have compiled a darker, more complex and ultimately more mature release that is surely set to ignite the passion of metal fans the world over. Taking their brand of symphonic death metal to a whole other level, this marks a night not to be missed by any fan of quality heavy metal!
Joining them on the night are special guests NE OBLIVISCARIS from Melbourne. Making their first trip to Queensland, they are bringing with them not only a new lead guitarist, who moved to Australia from France in August of this year, but a reputation that has seen them become one of the most talked about new metal bands to come out of Australia in recent years. Renowned for their unique sound mixing progressive, extreme, melodic metal elements with flamenco, jazz, latin and western art music, and featuring a line-up that includes a virtuoso violinist as well as a drummer that boasts the Fastest Feet in Australia (Worlds Fastest Drummer Competition, 2006), this is one band not to be missed.
Also playing on the night are the amazing death/grind metallers PEOPLE DIE, VIOLENT GREEN (a mixture of abrasive, speed, sludge metal with a new wave death metal feel), and AETERNITAS, a new symphonic/progressive death metal band who will be making their live debut on the night!
