shops closing on fridays

is it required by law that all shops should compulssorily close for prayer time on fridays from 12.00 noon to 2.00 pm? or is it a choice of the shop owners?

sometimes its irritating when u were in the middle of buying something and they tell u to hurry as its closing time?

yea its required by law from 12pm to 1pm every friday... so next time if its soo irritating make sure u go after 1 or way before 12
