pat the consumer!
#1
when i first landed in brisbane (which wasn't very long ago) i was amazed, and when i went to the malls, i felt like i wanna buy everything, i wanna live here ! ...get a car..... home theatre system, dvd players..... clothes.... but then when i came back to my senses i realized they're all consumerist drams.... they cature you and locate you in this fast spinning circle or work - getting paid - buying stuff - workin harder - gettin paid more - buying more stuff! ....... i guess this seems normal.... but i don't think it's normal to have no spare time to think! .... no spare time to wonder! ....i mean the time you have left is barely enough for you spend your pay on your consumerist dreams..... i believe one of the reasons of the increasing rates of prostitution is due to that! ..... it's true there is no violence yet!..... but i guess coz there's still plenty of jobs, and a bit of governmentaly implemented decency in the streets!
but this can't be life!
or at least not the life i wish for ...!
i can't live from day to day just to be able to get to the point where i could buy other stuff .... the brand new models..... and wear a fake smile and brag about my comfortable life and show off my stuff back home!
this just can't be right .....!
where is the spirit!.... the identity! ..... has it just turned into the color of your coffee mug at work and the cds you got in your cd changer!
is the wheel just turning and accelerating just because it can ?!
where heroes live soldiers die!
