Living close to the Gateway Motorway/M1 - Kasey - 01-08-2011
My partner and i are looking to purchase a house in Carindale but are concerned about the noise from the gateway motorway which is 200m away. Does anyone live near here? Is the noise level a major issue? What is Carindale like to live in, in general?

Hello.
I don't live near there, but I do live in a similar environment. I personally don't find the traffic noise a problem at all, I just zone it out.
Certainly, no sound insulation will block out the noise no matter what they tell you.

Apart from noise, as studies in the US show (see University Southern California, Dr James Gauderman), petrol and especially diesel exhaust fumes are potentially causing lung damage and reduced lung growth in children.
