Can u recommend a good psychologist in Brisbane? - zbazba - 11-16-2009
Hi
I recently had a session with a psychologist (who I found by doing a google search). I wasn't very impressed with the lady I saw. She wasn't a good listener and she didn't really help me at all. I realise it might take a few sessions for them to be able to help me, but from just this one session I could tell this lady wouldn't be able to help me. We are on completely different wave lengths.
I'm just wondering if anyone knows of a good psychologist in Brisbane that you can recommend to me? I don't really want to go to another one only to have the same thing happen.
Specifically, what I'm looking for....
* female
* psychologist
* good listener
* does CBT (cognitive behavioural therapy)
* has empathy and understanding

Nope. No luck. :S
I found another psychologist (on the web) and recently had 2 appointments with her. But I'm disappointed.
Seriously why do these people get into the field of psychology if they have no listening skills???????????? :O

I would recommend Libby Quinn. She was a
fantastic listener and very empathic! Gave me
really useful strategies too! I think she works for
4life psychology.
