Bored in Brisbane - Anonymous - 10-17-2008 Male, 26, in relationship. Friday night, 7pm, Bored! What do people/couples do in brisbane over the weekend to keep keep occupied? (preference to low cost or non alchoholic activities) What is there really to do in Brisbane? - Anonymous - 02-20-2010 This is Brisbane we are talking about, what is there to do really? If you have recently moved here from a larger city you generally find that most couples don't have much of a life. Solution- move to Sydney or Melbourne - Anonymous - 02-21-2010 Granted it was a saturday, however yesterday we had a fantastic day at southbank, walking around (havent been there in some time). Thought about going for a swim but due to weather did not bring swimwear/towels. Had a fantastic (and under 20 dollars for 2) lunch. Walked to QPAC and saw a very funny performance followed by a movie. Whole day was about 40 dollars and had a fantastic time. You dont need to do exactly that for a great time - but Brisbane does usually have excellent weather and while not being the largest or most cultured city, if you take in some of the tourist attractions (zoos, museums, gardens) you can really have a great time. Without alcohol or spending much money. - Limosine - 03-10-2010 Free movies at GOMA every Friday night. - Dario Western - 06-07-2010 Have a look at: http://www.ourbrisbane.com http://www.brisbane247.com Plenty to do if you can afford to drag yourself away from the computer and venture out of your comfort zone! |
