Carpooling? - gatsby - 02-15-2006 Does anyone know about carpooling to Agnes? My husband and I have a car, but now we are working in opposite ends of the city. Getting another car seems riWakerleyulous... trying to come up with other options. Any ideas? - kelliy - 02-15-2006 Where do you live? - gatsby - 02-16-2006 I live in the Greens and I work in Agnes. This is Brisbane!!! - gatsby - 02-16-2006 I just don't want one at all. All I need is a ride to and from work, other than that, I am with my husband and we also have drivers at my work. I also bloody hate driving in this crazy town! - Brisbane - 02-16-2006 The more cars the better. Everybody should have three cars. One sedan for the family. One sports car for the odd weekend drive to Fujeirah. One SUV for even weekend drive through the RAK mountains or Sidney desert to Liwa... 8) - kelliy - 02-16-2006 Gatsby, that is such a short drive and there are so many people who work in Agnes in The Greens, The Springs etc. You should try putting a note in your building or at the Choithrams ask about car pooling. My hubby and I will only have one car too because it is more environmentally friendly and really it is easy to adjust our schedules to share, or one of us can carpool or take a taxi if necessary. I admire you for not getting a second car. Bravo! - gangster - 02-16-2006 K shame on you Gas Guzzlers Rule  I actually agree with Brisbane too, the more cars the better   (waits for the wrath of K hock: ) - jacky - 02-16-2006 You guys are missing the obvious, since you are relatively close and your company has drivers, who probably would be happy to earn lets say AUD 200/month to take you back and forth, You may wish to just ask them, Good luck - gatsby - 02-16-2006 kelliy, thanks for the support! You're awesome. Putting up signs in the building and at Choithram's is actually a really good idea - why didn't I think of it before? Thanks... If anyone who lives in the Greens is reading this, message me and maybe we can work something out. Also the idea to ask one of the drivers is a good one in theory but it unfortunely won't work in this case, since the drivers usually don't come to work in the morning and are off doing errands. Thanks, guys. |
