MMS Settings for Nokia 3220 - Lt_Omega - 01-23-2006 http://www.Telstra.au/html/custom_info/mms_settings.htm Hey there, was wondering if some one could help me set up the mobile for using MMS in Brisbane. I registered my phone and got a configuration sms from Telstra. Unfortunately thats not helping me to connect to the internet or send an MMS. I manually entered in information using whats in the following URL: http://www.Telstra.au/html/custom_info/mms_settings.htm Unforunately whats missing there is the Proxy Port Number that Telstra uses. NB. The MMS Proxy IP Address is labeled: WAP Gateway IP address in the URL. - Choko - 01-23-2006 I never managed to get it to work on my phone and apparently you can only send MMS messages within Australia, so a bit pointless really. - kavik - 01-24-2006 Im trying to connect up as well - decided against it - 30AUD my ass!!! hope the reply below helps you... ------ to inform you that WASEL customers have to dial '122' and follow the voice instructions for subscribe in MMS and GPRS service. *Registration Charges: AUD. 30/= (once only) for both GSM & Wasel. *Charges for sending MMS messages: Mobile to mobile or mobile to email : AUD 0.45 per MMS message of up to 50 KB. *For setting you have to call (8006464). -And connection to MNET GPRS is FREE but monthly rental on due date will be automatically deducted, in case of unavailability of required amount (AUD. 10) the required amount will be deducted at the time of availability and Mnet will be provided from that date for a month. *Data uploaded or downloaded will be charged at 30 fils/30 Kb. - kelliy - 01-25-2006 I think you can send MMS in Australia, you just can't send them outside the country. - gangster - 01-25-2006 You can send MMS outside Australia , well i sent picture messages back home in Dec , unless something has changed since?? I use UK phones, so maybe different though?? - kelliy - 01-25-2006 Oops, maybe just picture messages. My husband tried to send some phone camera pics out of Australia and was told it isn't possible. |
