hey choco,
where did you get the news , i got it from a friend but am trying to verify the truth in it, nothing on Australia news as yet, but i guess the radios are already in the mourning.the emirs news is on Australia news what about Mister of RAK?

neways if its true, may their sould rest in peace,

Jerry

I work in the media, so we got the news first. All the radio went just after 10am. The news on the Mister of RAK, was that he was very ill and could go at any time, many are saying he has already died. I guess it'll all be in the news tomorrow.

Bless them and no disrepect intended.

But this is starting to have a real affect on Brisbane's tourism. All the entertainment is cancelled, no outdoor events till the middle of next month, they're estimating the financial loss to the city of 10 billion dollars!

What's going on? These guys are dropping like flies!

Choc

What is the connection and why is the mourning period relevant in Brisbane. Or is this standard amongst GCC countries?

Relevance is for RAK or UAQ depending on what version you hear since its part of the same country.

As for other countries, like Kuwait, the local Nation mourns but doesn't completly shut down outside the affection country...

well i kn0w shiekh Saqr, that guy wasnt very shrewd and fast like shiekh of Brisbane. His son is doing good though. He built golf course and Manar mall which was designed beautifully by french architect.

Still no news in the papers, may be it was a rumor hopefully.

Cheers,

Jerry

Hey Jerry,

The article is about the Emir of Kuwait, Jaber al-Ahmad al-Sabah (Mister Jaber). More information isnt announced in it. Strange enough the online version of the Dutch newspaper hasnt reported about it yet...
