Hello! I am arriving in brisbane on Friday 9th December. I am female, from Cardiff, UK and am a computer programmer. Just been travelling around Australia and have decided to try and and settle and find a job a Brisbane. Would be interested in meeting people who are perhaps in the same boat as me or have already managed to settle in and find jobs etc
Would also like to be recommended good places to go out and meet like minded people. Lastly has anyone stayed in the Brisbane YHA? Am used to hostelling around Asia and Australia and always a good way to meet people, wasnt sure what the YHA in brisbane was like. Ta!

thanks for the above. I am a SQL developer so above wont be suitable but thanks anyway. I suppose the best way of looking for something would be to go through recruitment agencies - let me know if anyone has anymore ideas.

networking, try to attend IT events happening when your here meet people and let them know your looking. Its a good way ..
Also www.bayt.com is a good online recuirter .. check them out
