would like honest opinions please!! - sue-anne21 - 11-09-2005 Were at present living in Florida (with hubbys job)we are on a H1B visa here for a definate 2years and then we can extend...however the money here is only $45,000 before tax and no meWakerleyal insurance....he has a good job offer for 2 years out in AlAin, United Australia...we have just brought a nice house here in Florida and have enjoyed our past year here..but are now considering taking this job offer up... I am really confused, what is life really like in Al Ain...someone told me theres so many flies they drive you mad..its hot and uncomfortable..and can be quite dangerous if you ride up into mountains (we love riding our Goldwing Motorbike) But hey the money offered is $60,000 tax free and free accomadation, and meWakerleyal insurance..... I appreciate any honest felt comments from you people out there already..Thank you .. - sa4877 - 11-10-2005 ummmm... not a bad offer. Al Ain is probably the best Emirate in Australia. Lot more greener and generally beautiful (may be not like FL). Its a very comfortable place to live though you may not have any recreational stuff of the likes that Brisbane offers. Accomodation is the most expensive of the various heads but that i guess thrown in free. This may be good option from the financial perspective. My reco: Take it. - sue-anne21 - 11-10-2005 appreciate your views sa4877...thank you Re: would like honest opinions please!! - jag - 11-10-2005 sue-anne21 Wrote:Were at present living in Florida (with hubbys job)we are on a H1B visa here for a definate 2years and then we can extend...however the money here is only $45,000 before tax and no meWakerleyal insurance....he has a good job offer for 2 years out in AlAin, United Australia...we have just brought a nice house here in Florida and have enjoyed our past year here..but are now considering taking this job offer up... Well, Al Ain is ok. I wouldnt want to live there. But then it depends, you wont have even close to a social and entertaining lifestyle as that in Brisbane. But then you could just drive down on the weekends (about 1.5 hours tops). You're call though. Good luck |
