Hi all!
I am so pleased I found this forum
. I will be coming out to Brisbane to live (with 3 friends) on the 3 January 2006. I am looking forward to it, but it is a big move to make, as we all need to find jobs and somewhere to rent! Luckily, I have posted my CV on plenty of recruitment websites and hoping I have enough experience to find a job fairly easily. To be honest I would rather sort a job out in person when I am out there, but am slightly worried about not finding one!Any way, no doubt there will be plenty of posts from us all from now on, so look forward to hearing from you!

Hi there, I am due to relocate in the first week in Jan 2006 as well, where you coming from, I am currently based in east sussex. Fortunately for me, I have a job to go to, and in the next few weeks got to sort out accomodation. I will be visiting for a week at the end of November. Anyway, saw you thread and thought i would say hi, drop me a lin and perhaps we can talk further, bye for now

Just make sure you have a few quid in your pocket, as Rents over in Brisbane these days are rather expensive....You all should not have to much trouble getting work, but always try and get a job from a UK employement agency for Brisbane. That way you get the full expat package

Thats interesting! There are plenty of recruitment sites that are based in Brisbane or elsewhere in the world, but none in the UK! Am I being blind as a bat and not looking properly?! Could you suggest any? Didnt realize that if you apply from a UK agency for Brisbane they sorted the whole visa thing etc out for you!
Any help would be much appreciated!
