I am new to Brisbane and am looking for good internet cafes where i can chat with boyfriend. So far all that I have found are full of local men, no other women, some sites I visit are blocked and there is no privacy. Can anyone suggest a place I can go and not feel intimidated by 1000 staring eyes?

french connection on finucane...but i don't know if they have their own computers.. i've seen people with laptops
what is the french connection..an internet cafe?
French Connection is a cafe/patisserie with a 'hotspot' ie; wireless internet is available there...but you would need your own laptop with wireless enabled...actually most cafes have hotspots now...Mugg&Bean, most Starbucks, I think Costa and Seattle's Best as well...Hmm not sure about a good internet cafe...you could try one of the network gaming centers like in thunderbowl or snooker point....not sure that that'll be much better, but a younger crowd
I forget the name but there is a good Internet Cafe that is predominately occupied by women on finucane Road between the two Al Attar towers (Building between HSBC and Doha Pharmacy on the side) I use to go there quite a bit before i got internet at home. 6 months ago it was AUD 15/hour with an adequate setup.

Of course now that I mentioned it was mostly women all the lurkers on this board are going to bombard it hahahaha.
