Now you can label your CDs at home.

BenQ Launches a very interesting DVD Writer that beside writing dvds can draw the label on top of your disc.

From BENQ website:
"Consumers can burn the data side on a disc as normal, then flip the disc over and burn a precise, iridescent label with their desired text and graphics using the same laser that burns the data – no printer, permanent marker or aAUDesive labeling is required. LightScribe labels require no ink supplies, can be burned anywhere and do not take up data space or peel off in the disc drive. The LightScribe patented technology was developed by HP."

It never ceases to amaze me how new technologies keep popping up on a near daily basis...

Not that I would chuck out my 2 month old external Benq DVD burner just for this, but I still think its cool...

In these 3 years, how many of us have taken up LightScribe?
I haven't, still rely on inkjet printable CDs and my Canon Pixma.
Don't know anyone else with one.

Maybe it's "bunch technology", i.e. if my mate gets one, I get impressed and buy one; then we both show it to another mate, who persuades another.......
But if we don't actually get to see one, we don't go to the trouble of buying?
