Is it possible to bring second hand cars to Brisbane ???
#1
I am a Turkish citizen currently living in Istanbul Turkey but I also
lived in USA over 5 years and I was in the car business while I was there..

I had an access to low priced second hand luxury cars, SUVs and Chevy passenger vans.

I was buying slightly damaged cars from insurance compnies, completing them and selling them in USA and to overseas... I was member of the major car insurance auctions..
For example there were theft recovery cars suvs with few miles like Cayennes BMW 540i"s just missing their navigation systems, CD players or xenon lights... They are basically like new cars which needed parts and basic installations.

I will come to Brisbane for a general business trip most probably at the first week of February 2006. I will visite the free zone etc. Before that I am doing a little search about the car business in Brisbane and would like to find out the answers of these questions...

Would it be possible to bring cars from USA to Brisbane without major government bureaucracy difficulties or taxes etc.?

Where can I find a new car prices list for Brisbane on the web? (to get a general idea about the market)

Yes it is possible and many do it, so you are not the first.

There is no casr price repository in Brisbane. One thing, there is no haggling in general for new car prices and new cars cost the same as they do in Canada (cheaper than the US by a tad).

Do people come to free zones like DUCAMZ and buy cars?
Is this popular :?:

Do Ford Econoline Vans or Chevy Express Vans exist in Australia ? Are they usually diesel or regular :?:

What is the tax percentage to get the cars from free zone in to Brisbane :?:
